BANDS I EITHER PLAY WITH OR HAVE PLAYED WITH
I played guitar in the Tomatoes in 2004 but had to quit after 8 months of touring due to the fact that I was poor. I then 're-joined' in 2007 - 2013 for the ROCK!
ELECTRIC SWAMP GAS/STEREOBABBLEVISIT
The band started with Scott Frilot, Erik Toups, Alan Stevens and Lance Sherlock. They released a record calledElectric Swamp Gas vs Godzilla. With a line-up change, they changed their name to Stereobabble. Available wherever you stream music.
Basically, in 1990, Ted Torres, Scott Frilot and Lance Sherlock got together and started a band. That band was called ANTIX. They started out playing covers - KISS, Van Halen, AC/DC, etc.. They were fortunate to play at Jimmy's Music Club(New Orleans) and good ol' Friar Tucks( Canal & Carrollton - you know who you are) as well some other music venues.
The 3 eventually recorded an EP called Antix vs Godzilla, with the help of Greg Troyer. It was released on cassette(remember those?).
The band broke up in 1994.
In 1998 the guys reformed to record some more songs, with the help of George Ortolano. "Slippery Days" was the product of those recordings.
Now, each are working on their own projects. Ted is a writer/musician; Lance has his own recording studio; and Scott still plays and writes music.
Unfortunately, the name 'antix' is a very popular band name, so getting any sort of custom URL or specific website is out of the question. This is just for the music anyway.
These mixes have been digitally restored for your listening pleasure. - The funny thing about this digital age and putting this stuff up so late is that there are a TON of 'Antix' bands out there - We didn't change the name but we needed something to distinguish ourselves in the digital age as the Antix from NOLA - hense the AntixNOLA user ID.
Ted, Lance and Scott recently got back together played a show at the end of 2013 at Twist of Lime.
